Drinking shouldn't mix with philanthropic events
Every year, Ole Miss Greeks raise thousands of dollars for charity through numerous activities.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) had boxing for muscular dystrophy, Sigma Chi hosted Derby Day for the Mississippi Kidney Foundation and Easter Seals, and Phi Delta Theta held Hoops for Kids this weekend to promote and raise funds for each of these charities.
ASB hopes to regain the faith of students by 2000
"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."

Working together is a very intriguing phenomenon. The power found in a group of people who share a common desire and a common goal far exceeds the power of any one individual's own selfish ambition. When we believe that our lives can be better and refuse to let cynicism stifle us, we see that a greater destiny is waiting somewhere in the world as we know it.

Saturday morning, just as the sun was rising, I too rose from my warm bed to put on my make-up, a new t-shirt and black shorts. It was time for Sigma Chi Derby Day, and there were things to do.
Later that morning, the "fun" began. As many of my friends trundled over to Kincannon Field, I opted to drive myself because I was skeptical about what I was about to see. Before I saw, I heard.
