Prayer could be answer to problems in today's societyDear Editor, In response to the Mica Foret opinion letter in the June 3rd Daily Mississippian, I would like to say that I completely agree with her. It is sad that in these days and times our schools are becoming war zones and cess pools of crime. Back in the day, the biggest fear you had to worry about was the school bully and/or whether you looked good enough to impress someone that you had a crush on. Nowadays you have to worry about being confronted by gangs, drug pushers, students (male and female) carrying guns, knives, boxcutters and razor blades to school to settle a conflict and, not to mention, the issue of sex. The incidents in Littleton, Colo., Atlanta, Paducah, Ky., and Oregon should be a wake-up call to all of us! The only solution to ALL of these things, whether you like it or not, is God. The Supreme Court really goofed when they took prayer out of school. Prayer changes things. We ALL need to come together as one because it's time for God's people to take back what the devil stole from us. May God bless you and keep you all! Keith Hughes
