ASB president says no to one-way traffic

ASB President John Joseph told the ASB Senate Tuesday night that he is opposed to the one-way traffic plan currently under consideration by the Ole Miss administration.

"After a long and lengthy process that involved a town-hall meeting, listening to administrators, and reading about 1,000 surveys, I've decided that I don't think one-way traffic is the way to go," Joesph told the ASB Senate.

Secretary of Health to be Grand Marshal

Shalala will visit Ole Miss, participate in Homecoming parade Friday

Donna Shalala, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, will serve as the Grand Marshal of Friday's annual Ole Miss Homecoming parade.

TVA says Oxford is Y2K ready

If you were afraid Oxford would plunge into darkness at 12:01 a.m. on January 1, 2000, worry no more. The Oxford Board of Aldermen met Tuesday night and cleared up the issue once and for all when Joseph R. Bynum of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) assured the board that they are ready for any potential Y2K problems.

UPD investigating Crosby break-in

The University Police Department was summoned to Crosby Hall Sunday to investigate an apparent theft.
