There isn't a set formula for having a great football program. Every team does its own thing its own way. FSU does it with speedy skill players, Tennessee with all-out aggression, 'Bama with mammoth-sized linemen and big bruising backs.

McLean rose to fame in the 1970s with his hit "American Pie," a beautifully poetic ballad about the plane crash deaths of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper and its impact on rock music.
