On Friday, February 1, Online Services will be replaced by a portal environment called myOleMiss that features a new look and updated navigation. The regular Friday morning maintenance window will be extended to 9:00 AM to allow for this transition. Online Services will not be available during this time. Once service is restored, UM faculty, staff, students, and guests will use myOleMiss to access the secure applications formerly housed in Online Services. For users, the transition to myOleMiss should be very straightforward. The Office of Information Technology will provide the appropriate links, re-directs, and messages during this transition. Anyone trying to go to Online Services will be sent to myOleMiss once it is up and running. On Thursday, January 31, IT will hold informal preview sessions of myOleMiss in Weir 107 at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, and 1:00. No reservations are necessary and any member of the Ole Miss community is invited to attend. Please note that references to Online Services on departmental Web pages or in printed materials will need to be updated to reflect this change once it occurs. The URL for myOleMiss will be my.olemiss.edu. Some services involving in-progress admissions processes, such as the applications for the Croft Institute and the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, will continue to be available through secure to allow for a smooth transition. Once myOleMiss is live, contact the IT Helpdesk at 662-915-5222 or helpdesk@olemiss.edu if you have trouble logging in with your WebID or experience any other issues. Posted: 01-25-2008 |
