Campus Recycling

Thanks to everyone on campus who is keeping plastic and aluminum out of our landfills by recycling. Scott Steen, Assistant Director of Physical Plant, reported that in a three-week period, 300 pounds of recyclable aluminum and plastic were collected in our new 'green' collection bin located behind Fulton Chapel.  The university is definitely making a positive impact on lessening the amount of trash going to landfills.

If your office is not currently recycling, but would like to start, please call Scott at 915-7051 to request a recycle receptacle for your office.

Just a couple of suggestions: remember to remove the caps from all plastic bottles and empty all bottles and cans. It really doesn't take a lot of time to take the full bags of recyclables to the bin, but it is up to the individual departments to do that.

Energy Conservation Tip of the Day:   Use the "print preview" option on your computer to find errors before printing and print on both sides of the paper.

Thank you again for doing the right thing.
