Hosted
Large Crowd, Big Success By: Ben Mathews February 24th & 25th, 2004
- Members from Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Delta Sigma Theta and Chi
Omega Sororities joined
the men of Kappa Alpha Order for yet another successful blood drive this
past spring semester. Over 70 people showed up over a two-day period
to give more than 100 pints of blood in the ever-popular “Mississippi
Blood
Van” that was respectfully parked in front of the Union. After all
was over,
the staff of Mississippi Blood Services informed us that the crowd was
among one of the best they’ve ever had here on campus. During the
peak
hours of operation, the average waiting time was well over an hour. We
would like to thank Mississippi Blood Services, all who participated
and gave blood, as well as the Chi-O’s, Delta’s, and Kappa’s
for their help and
support. We look forward to having the same results or better next year
