Ole Miss SAACS
Who we are:
SAACS-Ole Miss is the local student chapter of the
Student Affiliates of the American Chemical
Society.
The goals of the Ole Miss local section of the Student
Affiliates of the American Chemical Society are:

to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas among students in the chemical
sciences;

to allow local students in the chemical sciences to have a voice in the
national community of chemists;

to encourage and assist students in the area who are considering careers
in the chemical sciences.
Why join SAACS-Ole Miss?
Advantages of SAACS membership include:

exposure to professional aspects of chemistry, including
community involvement;

establishing a support structure of friends and faculty
in the chemistry department;

the opportunity to gain leadership experience by becoming
a SAACS officer or committee member.
Who can join?
Eligible
members are any students attending the University of Mississippi, enrolled
in or considering enrollment in degree programs offered by the School of
Pharmacy or Departments of Chemistry
or Chemical Engineering.
Any undergraduate with an interest in chemistry can become a part of SAACS.
