Attention
Alabama Boaters
Boat operators in Alabama are reminded by the
Alabama Marine Police they will be required to have an operator's license
by April, 1999, to operate a motor boat on any of the state's waterways.
This includes personal watercraft.
The requirement was passed by the Alabama Legislature
in April 1994 and allowed for a five-year phase-in period for compliance.
The minimum fine for operating without a license is $100.
