OUTREACH
AND ADVISORY SERVICES
The staff of the National Sea Grant Law Center respond to research
requests from the legal community, Sea Grant College Programs,
and state and federal agencies located across the country. |

EDUCATION
AND TRAINING
Center
attorneys participate in continuing education programs, conferences,
and symposia which serve to educate policy makers, practitioners
and laypersons on issues of marine resources policy issues.
Attorneys also train law students in the field of ocean and
coastal law. |

WHAT
IS SEA GRANT?
Sea Grant is a partnership between the nation's universities
and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
that began in 1966, when the U.S. Congress determined there
was a unique opportunity to use university expertise to solve
today's marine environmental problems. By funding universities
in coastal and Great Lakes states through "sea grants",
Congress created the National Sea Grant Program which now works
with 30 state programs to encourage the wise stewardship of
our marine resources through research, education, outreach and
technology transfer. |

CAN YOU FIND THE NATIONAL SEA GRANT LAW CENTER?
We welcome visitors to our offices located on the campus
of the University of Mississippi in the town of Oxford. We also
welcome you to surf through our website and encourage you to

The Sea Grant Law Center and Mississippi-Alabama
Sea Grant Legal program are funded by a grant from the U.S.
Department of Commerce administered through the Mississippi-Alabama
Sea Grant Consortium. Matching funds are contributed by the
State of Mississippi, the Legal Program, and the University
of Mississippi.
