Rose attended the University of Mississippi from 1975-1979, majoring in Journalism/English, receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Education.  In her tenure as a member of Theta Psi, she was the first black woman inducted into the Ole Miss Hall of Fame and was noted as Glamour Magazine's Top Ten Female Graduates in the United States. Since earning her degree, she has exemplified quality leadership as Ole Miss' Alumini Association first black president.  She is currently serving in her eleventh year as Manager of Social Responsibilty of FedEx Coorperation where she is responsible for designing and executing programs that support the FedEx brand, globally. Rose is originally from Clarksdale, MS, and is married to Richard Flenorl and they have one daughter, Lillie.
