Hello ALLIES!

 This is the time of year that we really need your help getting the word out to others on campus that you think would be a good candidate for ALLIES.  One goal we have this year is to make sure that there is an ALLY in every building on campus.  Please be a good ambassador for ALLIES and the university by making it your goal to recruit at least one person to sign up for an ALLIES training!  Of course, we also would love to see you at as many events as you can possibly attend.  The reception on October 11 is particularly important for our students to meet the ALLIES we have here and for you to meet them. It is always a wonderful reception!

 Wednesday, October 10: Love Free or Die, film about gay Episcopal bishop, hosted by St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 7:30pm (dinner at 6:30 if you tell Rene Pulliam at rpulliam@olemiss.edu)

 Thursday, October 11: National Coming Out Day

LGBT Reception hosted by the Office of the Dean of Students, 5:30pm @ Union Ballroom

  Sunday, October 14: Out of the Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention, 1pm @ The Circle

ALLIES trainings offered: Oct 9, 2012 from 10:30 - Noon OR Oct 12, 2012 from 3:30 - 5 PM. The location of each training will be determined by the number of participants.  An ALLIES representative will contact you to give the location and confirm.
