The Deep South Conference, an event sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers and local engineering firms, is an annual event that brings together ASCE Student Chapters from civil engineering programs throughout the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Arkansas.  The conference gives ASCE members a chance gain valuable hands-on experience by competing in the National Concrete Canoe Competition and the AISC National Steel Bridge Competition.  The University of Mississippi ASCE Student Chapter is proud to host the 2004 Deep South Regional Conference.  Other events at this year's conference will include an environmental engineering competition, a land surveying competition, and a community service activity, among others.
