Fact Sheet
Chi Psi is one of the oldest fraternities at Ole Miss. First founded here in 1858, our chapter of Chi Psi has more than 400 living alumni.
Our comprehensive pledge program lasts for 8 weeks. Chi Psi actively pursues new members year round.
We are committed to our national organization’s longstanding anti-hazing policy. We are a fraternity of gentlemen—and this guides our relationships with each other and with those outside our Brotherhood.
Through the Alpha Gamma Foundation—the largest of its kind on the Ole Miss campus—Chi Psi offers $15,000 in scholarships to its members each year. More scholarships are available from our national foundation, the Chi Psi Educational Trust.
Over the last 15 years, more than 65 percent of our graduates have continued their education in graduate and professional schools.
It’s true that our “fraternity of gentlemen” seeking “excellence in all things” is also famous as a “fraternity of firsts.” Chi Psi had the first fraternity house in the nation at the University of Michigan, the first national scholarship foundation, and the first national program for leadership training available to every member.
We were also the first fraternity on the Web. Find out more at www.chipsi.org, or contact Johnathan Nuesch, our President by email or his cell phone at 662-386-8455.
