Scott Watkins was born on
February 7, 1971in Bruce, Mississippi. He began studying Isshin-ryu
in 1985 under Cherry Douglas at the University of Mississippi's Ole Miss Karate Club. He traveled to Okinawa in 2004 to study Ryukyu
kobudo with Kotaro Iha of Ryu Kon Kai, and Kensho Tokumura of Goju-ryu karate
and to learn about the culture, customs and traditions of Okinawa. He was promoted to Yondan by Sensei Advincula in June 2008. |
