Theta Encore!

CASA

CASA is a program to help unfortunate children caught in our judicial system. These children have been left without a home because of various reasons including child abuse. Fortunately there is some way to help. Special trained advocates are chosen to stay with these children and represent them in court. These people are volunteers whose main purpose is to comfort and support the child and speak in the child's best interest. This insures the best possible outcome for that child.

Kappa Alpha Theta chapters all over the nation contribute time and money to the CASA program. Members of Theta have been advocates for the program and have spoken on behalf of a child. Our national fraternity has a special foundation giving thousands of dollars in support of CASA.

Our chapter annually host two fundraisers that benefit the CASA program. This year we donated $15,000! Each fall we hold Theta Encore, which is a dance competition for all sororities on campus. This year we sold out the Ford Center with attendance over 1,200 people! Each spring, we host Theta Dodgeball for Ole Miss students, fraternities, and men in the Oxford community. Both events are widely supported by Ole Miss and businesses in the Oxford area.

Kappa Alpha Theta also supports other sorority and fraternity philanthropies.
