Lacrosse has finally arrived in Oxford, Mississippi. After a late start in the spring of 1995, the Ole Miss lacrosse team, oficially sponsored by the University, became a member of the Sourtheastern Lacrosse Conference in the fall of 1995. Last spring the young team faced the experienced Buzzard Lacrosse, Nachville, Chattanooga, and Rhodes College teams. The shortened season ended with the team at even par. With an early start this fall, the team hopes to be more organized and better prepared for the talented teams it will face in the spring. The team only lost two players from last year's inaugural team, while gaining, through extensive recruiting, twenty-five new players. The Ole Miss lacrosse team will face a grueling road schedule in the spring, but is hoping for great fan support at all home games.
