EXECUTIVE BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES

By-Laws of IMAGE

New Entry GPA Requirement:

  • For Incoming Freshmen, they have no requirements; however, their GPA will be assessed at the end of the Fall Semester.

  • For New Members (non first-semester freshmen) and Retained Members, they must maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA to be in “Good Standing”. However, if a student wishes to enter the IMAGE program in the fall with less than a 2.5 cumulative GPA, then they must achieve a 3.0 at the end of that current semester. If the 3.0 GPA is achieved, then the student will be in “good standing.” If 3.0 GPA is not achieved in the semester of entry, that student will be placed on probation. While on probation the student will have one more opportunity to get a 3.0 GPA in the next semester.

New Major Qualifications

  • Students must be pursuing a four (4) year degree in the math, science and engineering fields. For double majors with a SEM/Non SEM degree, schedules have to justify both majors. If any students decides to change their major, the MAMP office should be notified immediately.
  • Eligible Majors include: Biological Science, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy, Electrical Eng., Mechanical Eng, General Eng, Chemical Eng., Civil Eng, and Mathematics.

Note that pre-professional programs are not four-year programs: therefore students with the following majors, minors or emphasis areas do not qualify for MAMP Scholarships. Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Pre-Pharmacy, etc. However, they may take advantage of all other opportunities that IMAGE has to offer.
