Note: All IMAGE Scholars must attend at least five (5) of the scheduled IMAGE Meetings in order to be eligible for a stipend. Eligibility for the IMAGE Program is a G.P.A. of 3.00 to receive a scholarship. Scholarship forms are due December 1.

GUARANTEED 4.0 SEMINAR AND CAREER ASSESSMENT

  • Guaranteed 4.0 Seminar (How to have a successful Semester) Mandatory for all freshmen and students new to the program)
  • Career Assessment - (All sophomores, juniors and seniors continuing in the IMAGE Program this also includes the new Summer Bridge Students)

IMAGE WELCOME BACK EXTRAVAGANZA!

  • August 20 Reception & Application Sign Up, Door Prizes,
    Sign Up for drawing of two $100 book Stipends to be give away at the end
    of the week, and Reorder of IMAGE T-Shirts for Sale $10.00 (All Week)
  • August 21-23 Student Organizational Fair - Introduction of IMAG E
  • August 22-24 Continuation of Application Sign-Up, Meet Executive Committee Members and Staff
  • August 24 Recruitment Day: 11:00pm-1:00pm Pizza Luncheon with a New Recruit for the IMAGE Program; Old IMAGE Scholars have to bring in ONE New Qualified Recruit to sign-up for the IMAGE Program
  • August 25 Drawings for Book Stipend at NOON

MENTORS for the Fall Semester
Freshmen and Sophmores - Shaquilla Gates, Rachel Macklin, Corretha Ingram

Juniors and Seniors - Lyrial Chism, Michelle Craddock, Brenteria Travis

TUTORS for the Academic year are: (all Freshmen are required to attend tutoring sessions offered by IMAGE if they have classes in these areas)

Students will be eligible for stipends based on a 3.00 or above semester GPA and completion of the Scholarship Form. No one whose GPA is below 3.00 will be considered for a stipend.

Textbook Exchange - At the end of the semester, any IMAGE Scholars who wish to sell/lend their books to another IMAGE Scholar may do so. For more information contact Ms. Vinson.

STIPENDS

Students will be eligible for stipends based on mentor meetings, attendance to IMAGE Retreat, IMAGE meetings, minimum 3.00 GPA  and a new point system of other activities for the fall semester.  No one whose GPA is below 3.00 will be considered for a stipend. (Explanation of the point system will be distributed at the beginning of the semester)
