A legacy is a daughter, sister or granddaughter of a member. Legacies bring a rich heritage and an understanding of Fraternity values to a chapter, and extra credit is given in the membership selection ranking process. Membership, however, is by mutual selection, and it is important to encourage a legacy to choose a group that suits her own needs, and the chapter to select appropriate membership.

Dear Prospective Member,

We are so excited about Recruitment 2007. The past few years have been great years for our sorority and we are expecting 2007 to be even better. We also hope that the Recruitment experience for all Ole Miss freshmen girls is positive and fun. We’ve been working all summer to make your visit to the Pi Phi House as fun and informative as possible.

Figuring out all that there is to know about the recruitment process and requirements may seem difficult, but it’s really quite simple. Please see the Ole Miss Greek Life website for answers to most of your questions. If you have a specific Pi Phi question, feel free to email us and try to answer your questions.

Pi Phi only requires each potential new member to have a reference form or recommendation letter to be written by a Pi Phi alumnae. Other suggested material could be a transcript, a resume and a photograph.
