Eta Zeta (HZ)

The Eta Zeta Chapter was chartered on July 31, 1973 as the first black Greek-letter organization at the University of Mississippi.  Those who sought the knowledge of Omega in the beginning strived for excellence in their daily struggles.  They sought to build bridges for those who would come after them and carry on the cardinal principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.  The Eta Zeta Chapter was the pioneer for other black greek organizations that would follow throughout the years.

The Eta Zeta Chapter maintained the highest GPA of all the black greeks on the yard for many years.  We pioneered the Coat and Canned Food Drive and the highway cleanup project.
