A Few Facts about our Shire

We were originally known as the Black Hole of Atenveldt, but dropped "of Atenveldt" when Meridies became a kingdom in January 1978.

Hammerhold become a territorial Barony on September 5, 1979. The Barony was very large and spanned all the territory from Jackson to Southaven, but the main group was located around the University of Mississippi in Oxford. The founding Baron and Baroness were Gordon Blackwolf the Disrespectful and Antonia Marin de Castilla. They are the only gentles to ever hold that title. In the year1982 the group was returned to Shire status.

According to some of the longstanding members of the group, the Shire has always served blueberry muffins at every event. Based upon the conjecture, the muffins are procurred from the dwarf bakery hidden at Sardis Dam. Partakers of the muffins should be on the lookout for messages from the workers on the bottom of the muffin paper.
