STAFF DEVELOPMENT
TEXTBOOK SCHOLARSHIP
Criteria For Staff Development Textbook Scholarship Eligibility:  

    You must be a permanent full time, non-faculty employee of the University of Mississippi on the main campus in Oxford or its satellite campuses.

    Priority will be given to staff members with an annual salary of $35,000 or less. Scholarships for staff members with an annual salary of $35,001 to $50,000 will be awarded on a first come-first serve basis, if funds are available.

    For any semester a scholarship is awarded, if you do not successfully complete all courses by obtaining a passing grade, you will not be considered for a future scholarship unless you reimburse the Staff Development Scholarship Fund. You must return the book(s)/material(s) for a full refund to be eligible for future scholarships, and must notify the scholarship administrator of said refunds. 

    If The Material Needed For Your Class Is Not Available At The Ole Miss Bookstore, You Must Provide The Information For Online/Other Purchasing To The Administrator Of The Scholarship Fund. You Will Be Contacted Once The Material Has Arrived. You Will Not Be Reimbursed If You Purchase The Book(S)/Material(S) On Your Own.


Process For Receiving Scholarship:

    You must be enrolled or plan to enroll in a credited course offered at Ole Miss.  This can be certificate and independent study programs offered by Continuing Studies but does not include Enrichment Courses (i.e. Beer Tasting, Beginning Guitar, etc.)

    Applications will begin being reviewed two weeks prior to the beginning of a semester. Applications are accepted up to the last day to add classes.  

    A voucher not to exceed $150 will be awarded for use at the Ole Miss bookstore. This will be given the day before classes begin.  This voucher will include the signature of the Staff Council Textbook Scholarship Administrator, expiration date, and any other information needed by the bookstore.  The voucher can be picked up in person after presenting an ID.   

    First time applicants will be given priority.
