OLD BUSINESS:

·   Volunteers are needed for Meet ‘N Greet Days set for August 18th and 19th.

·   University standing committee vacancies have been filled.

·  As of August 1st, the emergency room physicians at BMH-NM and Radiology Associates will be in our insurance network.  President Camp also pointed out that if anyone has visited the emergency room or used Radiology Associates in the last year, they may contact Dianne Kemp at 888-950-1350 and request a reimbursement.

NEW BUSINESS:

     ·   President Camp asked for volunteers to help with a committee being started by

Dr. Kellum.  This committee would provide assistance to faculty, staff and students who have children with a long-term illness.

     ·    Joey Brent stated that the Staff Council website has been updated.

     ·    Ron Kitchens brought up that with the factories shutting down, United Way donations would be suffering.  The University is the largest employer and should try to help out as much as possible.

·   Concerns were raised regarding the price increase of the Faculty/Staff parking decals and the fact that the faculty and staff were not notified of the increase.  Staff Council will address a memo to the Traffic and Parking Committee raising this concern.

Meeting adjourned, 3:10 p.m.
