2:40pm. Welcome was made by President Joni Camp. There was no guest speaker today. The meeting started with the approval of the November Minutes. One correction was made. The Faculty Senate Meeting mentioned in the Old Business should be the University Community Forum. Minutes were approved with the correction.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Approved with no corrections.
OLD BUSINESS:
• President Joni Camp asked for volunteers to assist in the Exam Breakfast being
held Tuesday, December 9th, 9:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.
NEW BUSINESS:
• Some Staff Council members terms will expire in February. President Camp
asked that those whose terms will expire, please attend the February meeting.
• Rachel Bost announced that the Physical Plant will be placing boxes in different
departments on campus to collect toys, clothing, food and money to help families
during the Christmas holidays. The boxes will be collected December 17th and
the baskets delivered to the families by Friday, December 19th.
• Ron Kitchens announced that the Oxford United Methodist Church and several
people from the University were hosting a benefit to help The Pantry, Thursday,
December 4th from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
• Mary Harrington reported that she attended the MASCO meeting held in
November.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
• The Staff Council, on behalf of the staff, would like to thank Chancellor Khayat for the great Thanksgiving luncheon and for generously allowing us to enjoy a shortened day.
• Reminder: The next Staff Council meeting will be January 14, 2004.
