Consider hosting a summer sendoff
More than 700 new students got their first taste of being a part of the Ole Miss family this past summer. They attended one of the summer sendoffs, which are casual social gatherings usually held at a parent's home or a venue provided by a parent or alumnus/a. These events give students a chance to develop meaningful connections with other students from their hometowns, who also are headed to Oxford. The university sponsors the events and provides all the logistical support to the host parents.
Host cities this year include Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Birmingham, New Orleans, St. Louis as well as a location in the D.C. area. The Office of Enrollment Services is looking for new parents who are interested in hosting these events in their homes.
