Biography
Bahram Alidaee has a School of Business Fellow Endowed Position and is a professor of Operations/Supply Chain and Pharmacy Administration. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tehran, Iran; an MBA from the University of North Texas, and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences, concentration on Operations Research, from the University of Texas at Arlington. He joined the Ole Miss Business School in 1995. Prior to his appointment at Ole Miss, he was an Associate Professor at West Texas A&M University. While at Ole Miss, he has taught a variety of operations and supply chain courses at the undergraduate, MBA, PMBA, and Ph.D. levels.
His main expertise is in modeling and applications of operations research in large-scale problems interest to industries. He has consulted industries such as Casino Gaming, Furniture Industries, NAVY Personnel Assignment, Hospital Quality Management, and Blood Services. At Ole Miss, with several co-investigators, he generated over $5,400,000.00 in research grants.
He has published over 100 articles in major operations/supply chain journals, including journals such as Management Science, Production and Operations Management, Transportation Science, Annals of Operations Research, Transportation Research Journal, Various IEEE Transaction Journals, European Journal of Operational Research, Journal of Operational Research Society, OMEGA, International Journal of Production Research, Computers & Operations Research, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Operation Research Letters, Information Processing Letters, and several other major journals.
He has served on the editorial board of several journals. He has been the recipient of Outstanding Senior Researcher of the Year at the Ole Miss Business School twice. He has directed 11 doctoral dissertations.
