Biography

Amitav Tikadar is an assistant professor in the Mechanical Engineering department at the University of Mississippi. Before joining the University of Mississippi, he obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2024, where his research work focused on the single and two-phase cooling solutions for EV motor and microelectronics. He completed his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina in 2019 and B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University in Engineering and Technology in 2015. He is the author or coauthor of over 40 journal or conference publications and received the Best Paper and Poster Awards from the ITherm conference. His broad interests include thermal management for e-mobility powertrain, microscale heat transfer, and machine learning (ML)
