Burhanettin Keskin received his B.A in Sociology from Ataturk University in his home town of Erzurum, Turkey in 1997. Upon his graduation he received a full scholarship from the Turkish Ministry of Education to study abroad. He received his M.A. degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Special Education from the University of Colorado-Denver in 2001. He received his PhD in Early Childhood Education at Florida State University in 2005. After his graduation, he moved back to his hometown in Turkey and worked as an assistant professor of Early Childhood Education at Ataturk University. He taught several classes from a variety of domains such as child psychology, educational sociology and cognitive and language development. He taught at Columbus State University between 2009-2013. He is currently an associate professor of early childhood professor at the University of Mississippi. His research interests are in theory of mind and use of theory in child studies.
