The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Teresa Carithers, PhD, RD, LD is a Professor of Nutrition and Hospitality Management. She holds a B.S. in Institutional Foods and a Masters (MHS) in Health Sciences from Mississippi College and completed her PhD in Preventive Medicine with emphasis in epidemiology from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Her professional experience is diverse and includes being a registered dietitian, epidemiologist, and certified organizational change facilitator and holds distinguished membership in the Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is known as a visionary leader, mentor and researcher focusing on improving the lives of Mississippians through research that addresseses nutrition policy throughout the lifecycle,school nutrition environments, diet assessment methods, and health disparities.
