George Haymans

Adjunct Instructor in Management

Biography

George is an attorney with Haymans & Co., PLLC. He focuses his practice on the acquisition, sales, and refinances of commercial and residential real estate, as well as due diligence and contractual matters. He represents developers and contractors in all facets of real estate and regularly handles commercial and residential transactions and title evaluations, advises businesses on corporate structure and governance plans, and assists with the full range of issues relating to real estate law.

He has been teaching real estate law and business law classes at the University of Mississippi as an Adjunct Professor with the School of Business as well as guest speaking at the Law School for nearly ten years. This has been one of the more rewarding parts of his practice as he has mentored many students to develop a passion for real estate and law. Multiple prior students have interned and clerked in his businesses and used that experience to further their careers.

George is also a founder of Mississippi Title Group, LLC (MTG), a statewide title insurance agent. Since 2012, MTG has participated in closing insuring over $3 billion of real property transactions. In addition to his involvement with MTG, George frequently teaches seminars and CLEs on foreclosure issues, resolving title defects, landlord-tenant law, and ethical considerations for real estate lawyers and real estate agents.
