Brief Bio
Christopher D. Sapp is Associate Professor of Modern Languages. Dr. Sapp holds a B.A. in German from Austin College (1996) and an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Germanic Linguistics from Indiana University (2006). He joined the University of Mississippi faculty in 2006. His awards include a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship for independent travel and research, a DAAD grant for study in Germany, a Fulbright grant for study in Austria, and a Faculty Research Fellowship. His research specialization is the historical morphology and syntax of German, but he has also investigated language acquisition and Scandinavian linguistics. Dr. Sapp teaches courses in the fields of German language and culture, German linguistics, and general linguistics.
