The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Christy M. Wyandt, Ph.D. has been a faculty member at the University of Mississippi for 25 years, where she currently serves as Associate Dean of the Graduate School, Professor of Pharmaceutics and Research Professor in the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She earned her B.A. degree in Chemistry from Carleton College and her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Iowa. Prior to assuming a position on the faculty at the University of Mississippi, she was employed for four years as a Research Scientist for Travenol Labs and three years as a Senior Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc.. While at the University of Mississippi, Dr. Wyandt?s research has encompassed a number of different projects which relate to a few programmatic areas, specifically: solid state kinetics and characterization; mechanisms for enhancing or retarding drug release; protein formulation and characterization; and characterization of nutraceuticals. She is the author or co-author of 47 published manuscripts and 56 presentations at national or international meetings.
