The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Daphne S. Cain is the Chair of the Department of Social Work and an Associate Professor. Dr. Cain received her Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2002; a MSW from East Carolina University in 1995; and a BA in Psychology with a minor in Women's Studies from North Carolina State University in 1992. Dr. Cain served as a faculty member in the School of Social Work at Louisiana State University from 2001 - 2014. Dr. Cain's areas of research interest include disaster mental health, parenting interventions with high-risk and vulnerable families, and religion / spirituality and social work practice. Dr. Cain is the primary investigator for the University of Mississippi Child Welfare Training Academy (UMCWTA) and works closely with the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) Division of Family and Children's Services. Dr. Cain teaches clinical social work courses including differential diagnosis, social work practice, and marital and family therapy.
