Biography

Eugene Taeha Paik is an Assistant Professor of Management. He is also a faculty member at the Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona, where he majored in Management and minored in Entrepreneurship. His research explores the antecedents and consequences of innovation. Specifically, he studies how relationships with network partners influence an organization’s ability to use new technologies in daily operations and how implementing new practices affects its relationships with employees. Another theme in his research is cultural industries. He is particularly interested in the production networks in cultural industries; how the structure of networks influences technology adoption and how individuals’ choice of projects affects their career outcomes or the innovativeness of their work. He is teaching strategic management at the undergraduate level.

Before joining the academia, he worked in Korea as a global sales manager for a global corporation in the electronics industry and as a business planning manager for a start-up in the entertainment industry.
