The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Dr. Jaime Cantrell serves as the LGBT Program Coordinator at the Center for Inclusion and Cross Cultural Engagement, and is a faculty affiliate at the Sarah Isom Center for Women's and Gender Studies and the Center for the Study of Southern Culture. For the last three years, she held a Visiting Assistant Professor of English appointment at the University of Mississippi and taught a wide range of courses including "The South and Sexuality", "Gender and Culture", "Literary Criticism", "Queer Theory", "Introduction to Gender Studies", "Women in Literature", "Gay and Lesbian Literature and Theory", and "Topics in Popular Literature", as well as two "Voices from the Archives: American Women Writers" classes in the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. She's been awarded library and research grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Cornell University, Duke University, and TAMU. Dr. Cantrell is the author of essays and reviews appearing in Feminist Formations, the Journal of Lesbian Studies, NOTCHES: (re)marks on the sexuality, Study the South, the Journal of Homosexuality, and several edited collections. She co edited Out of the Closet, Into the Archives: Researching Sexual Histories (SUNY Queer Politics and Cultures series, 2015). With a foreword by Ann Cvetkovich, OCIA is a 2016 Lambda Literary Award Finalist for Best LGBT Anthology. Iced coffee-sipper, scone-baker, cat-scratcher, festival-goer, garden-grower, and book-reader, Dr. Cantrell knows what it mean her hometown of New Orleans.
