The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Jack Barbera is Professor of English. Dr. Barbera received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1976. That fall he began teaching as an Assistant Professor at the University of Mississippi. In 1983 he was promoted to Associate Professor and in 1987 he was promoted to Professor. Dr. Barbera has published essays on Modern Poetry, American Drama, and film. He co-authored a biography of the English poet, Stevie Smith, published in 1985, and edited a special edition of the journal Twentieth Century Literature, devoted to the work of South African playwright Athol Fugard, published in 1993. At the University of Mississippi he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in modern drama, film, and Twentieth-Century poetry.
