Biography

Dr. Kash Afshar is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Mississippi. His research interest resides in professional selling, sales management, and sales technology. Kash received his Ph.D. in marketing from Iowa State University. His research has been published in the Journal of Retailing. He has also presented his research at conferences such as the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), the Industrial Marketing Management Summit (IMM Summit), and the National Conference for Sales Management (NCSM). He is the recipient of the Research Excellence Award from the graduate college at Iowa State University. His teaching experience includes courses taught on professional selling, sales technology, sales management, social media marketing, and principles of marketing. Prior to his Ph.D., Dr. Afshar earned an MBA and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Iran. Prior to academia, Kash held a number of sales and marketing positions with startups and SMEs in Iran.
