Dr. Minjin Kim is an Instructor of Korean in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Mississippi.
Research Interests
Dr. Minjin Kim’s research interests span corpus linguistics, second language acquisition (with a focus on Korean and English), natural language processing, English for Academic Purposes, and intelligent computer-assisted language learning. Her recent work has appeared in The Modern Language Journal, Research Methods in Applied Linguistics, Journal of English for Academic Purposes, and English for Specific Purposes.
Biography
Dr. Minjin Kim earned her M.A. in Foreign Language Education from Seoul National University in South Korea in 2018 and her Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics in 2025. She brings over a decade of experience teaching Korean and English to learners from K-12 through the undergraduate level in both Korea and the U.S.
She has also taught several graduate-level language and content courses in Applied Linguistics, including Computational and Statistical Methods for Corpus Analysis, Technology-Mediated Language Learning, Learner Corpus Research, and ESL Composition for Academic Disciplines.
