Dr. Patrick Alexander is Associate Professor of English and African American Studies and Director of the Prison-to-College Pipeline Program.
Research Interests
Dr. Alexander's research interest include African American Literature, 19th Century American Literature, and Critical Prison Studies.
Biography
Dr. Alexander holds a B.A. in English/Creative Writing, summa cum laude, Miami University (2006) and a Ph.D. in English from Duke University. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Mississippi, Dr. Alexander cofounded and directed Stepping Stones, an award-winning academic enrichment program for imprisoned students based in North Carolina. As a faculty member at the University of Mississippi, he is currently the co-founder and director of the Prison-to-College Pipeline Program (PTCPP).
