Kristy Slominski is an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of Mississippi where she teaches courses on American Christianities and world religions. She is a historian of American religion and sexuality who is currently working on a book manuscript entitled Teaching Moral Sex: An American Religious History of Sex Education. Her Ph.D. in Religious Studies was completed in 2015 from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she also received a Feminist Studies Doctoral Emphasis and a Certificate in College and University Teaching. She was nationally elected by the membership of the American Academy of Religion to serve on its Board of Directors from January 2014 to December 2015. She also manages www.religionscholars.com, an online collection of professional development resources for religious studies scholars.
