Biography

Seong Won Yang is an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Mississippi. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky. He teaches undergraduate courses in principles of management and negotiation and dispute resolution.

His research focuses on interpersonal social networks in organizations. Specifically, his research investigates how individuals’ positive and negative social relationships influence their attitudes, behaviors, and workplace outcomes. He is also interested in individuals’ networking behavior and their motivations to alter their future networks. His research has been published in leading academic journals, such as the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies.
