ABSTRACT
The Effective Role of Music Creativity in Selected Middle Schools- as Identified by the Music Educators National Conference
| In your middle school, were there classes in composition and orchestra? In middle school, were you given the opportunity to perform with a symphony orchestra? Every middle school has music commonalities such as a band and a choir, but there are some schools that are very different in their approach to presenting music education to their students. The middle schools selected for this study offer interaction with composers, artists, and professional musicians. This research provides background information on important creative strides made in music. In this research, 6 middle schools that were selected by the 2006 Model School Program sponsored by the Music Educators National Conference as being innovative and creative were identified. In this research, three will be discussed. This research endeavours to provide information to other educators who wish to improve and enhance their music curriculum. |
