ABSTRACT

The Effects of Stress on Cognitive Processes

Stress has been shown to distract individuals in situations that do not occur often, or are very high in stakes. The purpose of the study is to determine the effects of stress on cognitive processes. The author expects that individuals under stressed conditions will not perform as well as individuals who are not stressed. There were 18 participants who completed the study. The experiment showed that there was not any significance of stress having any effect on spatial perception or verbal ability.
