Summer Engineering and Manufacturing Camp

A new program sponsored by the Center for Manufacturing Excellence and the Center for Mathematics and Science Education

The Center for Manufacturing Excellence at the University of Mississippi announces Engineering and Manufacturing Camp for high school students interested in engineering. Students will learn engineering and manufacturing concepts and advance their knowledge through hands-on projects, such as computer-aided design and 3-D printing. The University of Mississippi faculty from the School of Engineering faculty will engage students in the world of manufacturing and engineering. Campers will also experience real-world applications of engineering by touring two manufacturing plants in Mississippi.

Application Process:

Students must submit an application to be selected for camp. The selection process will be based on a teacher recommendation letter and a brief essay students are asked to submit on the application form. The camp is limited to 20 rising sophomores and juniors per session.
