Why did you join MTC?  I want to improve the lives of people from disadvantaged backgrounds and I thought that teaching would be a great way to broaden horizons for disadvantaged young people.  Also, I enjoy teaching and like the idea of working in a rural area.  Of all the teaching programs I looked at, I had the best feeling about MTC.
