Why did you decide to do the MTC Summer Internship?
____I am interested in possibly pursuing a career in teaching, and I feel like this internship will give me the experience I need in order to know if that is something I want to do. Because of the extraordinary experience I had in a public school system, I feel as that it is my responsibility to give back to those who have not been as fortunate.

What are your goals for the summer?
____I am excited about working with the William Winter Institute. This opportunity seems to be the perfect continuation of a semester rich in the subject of racial tensions in the American South. Also, I hope to be able to spend some time doing research for my thesis by interviewing the "Lost Boys" of Sudan who are now living in Mississippi. Any direction for my future would be great too!
