Hola! Guten Tag! Grüß Dich! My name is Joel Britton Harris. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I am 26 years of age. I am currently teaching German 1, German 2, Geography, and Mississippi Studies at Southaven High School in Southaven, Mississippi. I am married to the beautiful Cayce Claire, and our son, Jaden Patrick, has just entered the world.

Portfolio Theme: Access to equal and proper education is an essential right of humankind. In the USA this is one of the last great frontiers for racial and socioeconomic reconciliation. Education should not have borders or limits because knowledge is an essential human right. Herein lies the theme and organization of this site. I aim to display my work and experiences with the Mississippi Teacher Corps under the overriding idea that education expands infinitely in all directions, greatly transcending even the smallest classroom in the smallest town. Included on this site are numerous national and world education facts that demonstrate the growing need for excellent educators.
