The center and department of civil engineering are offering excellent financial assistantship packages for transportation graduate studies in the following areas: Intelligent Transportation Systems, Transportation Planning, Highway Safety and Crash Simulation, Advanced Finite Element Modeling and Simulation of Transportation Structures, Nondestructive Evaluation and Dynamic Analysis, Pavement Management, Mechanistic Pavement Analysis and Design, Pavement Materials, High Performance Materials, Infrastructure Asset Management, Airborne and Spaceborne Remote Sensing Applications in Transportation, Geospatial Analysis and 3D Visualization, Air Quality and Environmental Assessment, and Aviation Safety and Security Studies.
Financial assistantship is contingent on qualification, experience, and admission in the civil engineering graduate program at the University of Mississippi. Research assistantship is awarded on competitive basis by the assigned advisor professor, and depends upon your grade, GRE (minimum 1000 combined for verbal and quantitative) and TOEFFL (minimum 550) scores, and availability of funds.
