The Project Sponsor/Director is the ultimate contact for the SAP-UM and SIGMA-UM partnerships. He has the final responsibility to set priorities, approve scope and settle enterprise-wide issues by facilitating a timely decision making process (48 hour turnaround). The Project Sponsor/Director has budgetary authority for the project and is responsible for dealing with the vendors, conducting reviews, and signing off on major deliverables. The Project Sponsor/Director chairs the Steering Committee.
